And Jesus answered them, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. You girls are sweet.
As for the shoes- I only wear them once or twice a week, on average. I'm generally more of a flats-sporting girl. However, on the first day of school & in the first week of each new trimester (with new students), I try to dress more professionally. It sets a tone & sets me apart from my students. When I don't go out of my way to dress up, I end up looking like a student and often have to point myself out as the teacher when someone comes to my classroom looking for me. I guess it's kind of the same as having to dress your bald baby girl in pink so that people don't automatically assume she's a boy.
